Supplication & Duas

Supplication, or dua, holds a unique and cherished place in the life of a Muslim. It is not merely a ritual but a profound act of worship that establishes a direct and personal connection between a believer and Allah. Through dua, Muslims express their hopes, fears, gratitude, and needs to the Creator, seeking His mercy, guidance, and blessings.

Unlike other forms of worship that might require specific timings or conditions, dua can be made at any moment, in any place, and in any language. It is a sincere call from the heart, an acknowledgment of one's dependence on Allah, and a recognition of His ultimate power over all affairs. The Qur’an beautifully emphasizes this in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:186):
"When My servants ask you concerning Me, I am indeed close to them: I listen to the prayer of every supplicant when he calls on Me."

This verse highlights Allah’s nearness and readiness to respond to those who call upon Him, instilling hope and comfort in the believer.

"Oh Allah, remove anger from my heart.

Allahumma azhib Gaydha Qalbee."

"Oh Allah, if my intended action is best for me, make it destined and easy for me, and grant me Your Blessings in it.

Allahumma in kaana haatha alAmr khayran lee fa iQ-dirhu lee wa yassirhu lee summa baarik lee feehi."

"Oh Allah, clean away all forms of evil from my heart. Oh Allah, clean my heart and remove everything that displeases you. Oh Allah, clean my heart of every form of bitterness, hard feelings, and jealousy.

Allahumma Tahhir Qalbee min kulli suu, Allahumma Tahhir Qalbee min kulli maa yubaGGiDuk. Allahumma Tahhir Qalbee min kulli Gillin wa HiQdin wa Hasadin wa kibr."

"O Allah, I take refuge in you from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness, miserliness and cowardice, the burden of debts and from being overpowered by men.

Allahumma innee a3uzubika min alham wa alhuzn wa al3ajz wa alkusl wa albukhl wa aljubn wa galbah aldayn wa Galbah alrijaal."

"Oh Allah, Reliever of anxiety, Remover of distress, Dispeller of grief! Remove my anxiety, distress, and dispel from me my sadness.

Allahumma Faarij alhamm, kaashif alGamm, muzhib alhuzn, ikshif Allahumma 3annee hammee wa Gammee, wa azhib 3annee huznee."

"Oh Allah! Place in my heart, light. Place in my tongue, light. Place in my hearing, light. Place in my sight, light. Place behind me, light. Place before me, light. Place above me, light. Place under me, light. Oh Allah grant me light!

Allahumma Ij3al fee qalbee noora, wa fee lisaanee noora, wa ij3al fee sam3ee noora, wa ij3al fee baSaree noora, wa ij3al min khalfee noora, wa min amaamee noora, wa ij3al min fawqee nooraa, wa mmin tahtee noora, Allahumma a3Tinee noora."

"Oh Allah, I seek protection in you from the evil of my hearing, from the evil of my sight, from the evil of my tongue, from the evil of my heart, and from the evil of myself.

Allahumma innee a3uzubika min sharri sam3ee, wa min sharri baSaree, wa min sharri lisaanee, wa min sharri qalbee, wa min sharri minnee."

"Oh Allah take me out of darkness and into the light.

Allahumma Akhrijnee min aldulumaat ilaa alnur."

"To You, my Lord, I complain of my weakness, lack of support and the humiliation I am made to receive. Most Compassionate and Merciful! You are the Lord of the weak, and you are my Lord.

Allahuma ilayka ashku da'fa quwwati wa qillata heelatee wa hawanee 3ala an-naas ya arhamur rahimeen annta Rabbul mustad'afeen wa anta rabbi."

"Oh Allah! Grant me the strength to oppose myself, the courage to face my weakness, the conviction to accept my faith, the satisfaction of to relax my mind, and the understanding to reassure my heart.

Allahumma imnaHnee alQuwwah li aQwaami nafseee, wa ash-Shujaa3ah li uwaajih da3fee, wa alYaqeeni li ataQabbal qadree, wa ar-riDaa li yartaah 3aQalee, wa alfahm li yaTmainna Qalbee."

"Oh Allah fill my heart with your love.

Allahumma imla' qalbee bihubbik."

"O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the decline of Your blessings, the passing of safety, the sudden onset of Your punishment and from all that displeases you.

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matika, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatika, wa fuja'ati niqmatika, wa jami'i sakhatika."

"Oh Lord, wipe my chest clean with your mercy.

Ya Rabb, Imsah Sadree biraHmatik."

"Oh Allah, don't let the hate of anyone reside in my heart.

Allahumma laa taj3al fee qalbee karaahiyyah li aHad."

"Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana baAAda ith hadaytana wahab lana min ladunka rahmatan innaka anta alwahhab."

"I testify that there is nothing worthy of worship other than Allah and we seek the forgiveness of Allah. We ask You for Paradise and take refuge in You from the Fire.

Ashadu alla ilaha illallah, nastaghfirullah, nas’aluk’l-jannata wa na`audhu bika min an-nar."

"There is no deity but You. Glory be to You! Verily, I have been among the wrongdoers.

La illaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zaalimeen."

Allahumma Rahmataka Arjuu. Falaa takilnee ilaa nafsee Tarfata 'Ayn. Wa AsliH lee Sha'nee kullahu, laa ilaah illa ant."

"Oh lord, expand my chest, ease my affair, and untie the knot in my tongue and perfect my expression.

Rabbi IshraHlee Sadree, wa yassirlee amree, waHlul Uqdatan min lisaanee, yafqahuu qawlee."

"O Allah! I ask You [to grant me] Your Love, the love of those who love You, and deeds which will cause me to earn Your Love. O Allah! Make Your Love dearer to me than [the love of] myself, my family and the cold water [winter].- At-Tirmidhi.

Allahumma inni as'aluka Hubbaka, wa Hubba man yuHibbuka, wal-'amalalladhi yuballighuni Hubbaka. Allahumm-aj'al Hubbaka ahabba ilayya min nafsi, wa ahli, wa minal-ma'il-baridi."

"O Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan, wa fil-akhirati hasanatan, wa qina ‘adhab-annar."

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'Ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan."

"O Allah, I ask you for knowledge that is of benefit, a good provision and deeds that will be accepted.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'Ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan."
